About
Lisa Skaff is a movement teacher with a focus on biomechanics, motion diversity and strength. She’s been teaching yoga since 2008, but has taught many forms of human motion from snowboarding and surfing to rock climbing and tai chi. Continuing education is very important to her. She is guided most by her teacher and biomechanist Jules Mitchell (www.julesmitchell.com). She also enjoys attending pain science lectures, physical therapy lectures, and reviewing the most recent research studies on exercise science and human movement.
“Being in service to others is a joy of mine. Some might say I like to help, but sometimes ‘helping’ can imply that it’s not a relationship between equals. I believe you know your route to wholeness and well-being, but just need someone to assist in clearing the path or to add some proverbial logs to your already lit internal fire. I would be grateful for the opportunity to work with you on your journey to find your playful, strong, healing & ageless movement practice.”
Lisa also works at Movement Climbing Gym in Portland, Oregon: https://movementgyms.com
